Professional Course on CCS Policy and Transboundary Transport Technology

Indonesia Carbon Capture and Storage Center (ICCSC) successfully hosted the Professional Course on CCS Policy and Transboundary Transport Technology on 16–17 June 2025, in collaboration with the Global CCS Institute (GCCSI). This two-day workshop brought together representatives from ministries, public institutions, and key stakeholders committed to advancing Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in Indonesia.

The workshop featured expert-led sessions from GCCSI, covering foundational CCS technologies, CO₂ transport and storage, international legal frameworks, and policy considerations. Participants explored the policy readiness and institutional landscape needed to support transboundary CCS implementation in Indonesia.

Designed to strengthen national capacity, the course also aimed to foster collaboration across sectors by aligning technical knowledge with regulatory progress as Indonesia moves toward its Net Zero Emissions target.

We sincerely thank the Global CCS Institute for their valuable collaboration and support throughout the workshop. The momentum and insights from this course reaffirm the importance of building a credible, inclusive CCS ecosystem for Indonesia and the broader region.
